Description of the Project

With more than 300 days of sunshine and blue skies each year, Arizona is definitely not in shortage of sun. Gila Bend is known for receiving abundant sunshine due to the stable descending air of high pressure systems found frequently in the southwestern US, making it the perfect location for Sonoran Solar Development Partners, LLC. Vasari Energy is carefully and efficiently developing this land to ensure the process is quick and efficient. Spanning over an area of more than 450 acres, the Sonoran Solar Development Partners, LLC can generate up to 68MW DC of electricity, enough solar power to fulfill the energy needs of more than 6500 households in the area.
By reducing the amount of harmful carbon dioxides produced each year through other means of power generation. The addition of clean energy production from Sonoran Solar Development Partners, LLC will help Arizona push towards the renewal energy initiative by 2025. Not only that, the construction of Sonoran Solar Development Partners, LLC will also stimulate the community of Gila Bend and its estimated 100,000+ inhabitants.

The Arizona Corporation Commission is actively developing plans to build a robust transmission system to import and export renewable energy in Arizona.


Arizona is well-positioned to generate solar power for export to high-cost markets like California, meeting peak demand and Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) requirements.
