Project Description

Georgia Solar II is located in Charlton County in the Southeastern Georgia Power Service area. It’s strategically located between Jacksonville, FL and Brunswick, GA. The site is situated on flat, low cost land with abundant transmission capacity along with high load serving potential, making Georgia Solar II an idea project. Moreover the market potential is enormous, with the Georgia Power Co. adding 1200 megawatts of renewable energy to its electrical generation portfolio during the next five years, enough to power nearly 200,000 homes, under an agreement with the state Public Service Commission (PSC).
