Job Description:
The VP Project Finance is responsible for managing all phases of large-scale solar project finance with an emphasis on development equity.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively develop relationships with potential capital providers to continually improve velocity and cost of capital
  • Run financing processes to find and secure sources of capital that are the best fit for the Company’s goals
  • Lead and manage a deal team responsible for due diligence, modeling, documentation, closing and funding transactions to established timelines
  • Lead diligence, modeling and documentation efforts to gather consensus and understand internal requirements, constraints and preferences then negotiate terms and conditions of financings to those parameters
  • Serve as a reliable representative of the project finance team on internal projects and in internal discussions
  • Present and report on transaction status, risks and benefits to management
  • Provide the development team advice on anticipated terms of financings and assist in the development, pricing and origination of new renewable energy projects

Qualifications:

  • A positive attitude, highly motivated and the ability to maintain a culture that is based on teamwork, respect and integrity
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred
  • Must have proven track record of successful project finance closings
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of work experience in energy project finance, with preference for U.S. renewable energy project finance
  • Existing relationships with corporate and institutional investors including family offices and broker-dealers
  • Proven ability to access new sources of equity capital
  • Broad based knowledge of syndicated equity offerings
  • Ability to coordinate and work as a team as well as contribute individually
  • Required understanding of how financing contract terms and conditions influence economics and Vasari Energy’s business model
  • Experience managing internal deal teams as well as external consultants and lawyers to a deadline
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to convey ideas and positions clearly
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word and computer skills

Compensation:
Competitive base salary plus potential for significant bonuses
